DHUKR® YAK

The DHUKR® Yak is a specialized version of the original tool, designed for anglers who need a more secure grip in active environments. Whether you’re fishing from a kayak, moving on the water, or working in tighter conditions, the Yak is built to stay in your hand and ready when you need it.

It uses the same time-tested extraction design as the original DHUKR® tool, allowing you to handle embedded fish hooks from human skin using a controlled, one-person technique. What sets it apart is the handle, with a compact, open-loop grip that lets you insert your fingers for added control. This design helps prevent drops in wet or unstable conditions and makes it easy to secure or clip the tool to your gear, vest, or personal flotation device.

The Yak is fully FDA-licensed and registered and available in two size ranges: one built for smaller hooks from size 16 to 1, ideal for fly fishing, trout, and panfish, and another designed for larger hooks from size 1 up to 9/0 used in inshore and offshore fishing for species like bass, pike, snook, redfish, and tarpon.

How to use

• Secure your grip through or around the open-loop handle
• Place the tool hook around the curve of the embedded hook
• Place the head of the tool over the hook’s shank
• Press down gently to release the barb
• Pull straight back to take the hook out
